I'm supremely thankful for these facial hair internetolympics and all the quality, real life relationships they've inspired. I grew a massive beard and sported a moustache for the first time in my life, and picked up a camera seriously for the first time in years. I owe all of you so much for being so awesome and inventive; the "competition" here makes you push yourself and it's something I'm going to miss a lot. Big thanks to mackle and derble for the time and work they've put into this thing in all its forms (including Miguelito Day.)

It was once said that "Having satirical facial hair apparently isn't as hip as some would like to believe... Maybe there will be another Moustache May someday, but I wouldn't count on it."

Irony can be a good thing sometimes. But I concur that everything has its time and season.

I've been pretty busy this month and haven't been able to put as much time into commenting and chatting but I hope you all stay in touch and we can talk/hang when life settles down a bit. And if you're ever in my neighborhood, you better stop by. There's always beer in the fridge.
