My two favorite bands of all time.

Funniest thing ever!!

My kids see LPs for the first time so I put one one and the first thing they say. "How do they work?" (like they know how a mp3 file works.) and after a long talk the next comment is, " That would be a pain in the ass trying to listen to them at a party!!"

It blows my mind to think that my children have no CONCEPT of life without the internet, cell phones and mp3's. They get very grumpy when we're in the van and are forced to listen to whatever is on the radio, not the EXACT song they want at that moment.

I just saw them on the Time Machine tour and they are really one of the few bands that sound exactly like the studio version when they are live. So good.

Yes - when music was good, bands recorded entire ALBUMS of good music that could be listened to beginning to end. Nowadays this youngsters have music ADHD and can't even listen to an entire track without skipping to the next one.

I used to hate Rush and LOVE Van Halen. With the VH brothers being such A-Holes these days, I gave away my entire VH catalog.

I now really appreciate and respect Rush having seen that documentary about them that's been playing on VH1 Classic lately.
