good call on the rogue bottle shatrick but it is an old crustacean.
i'm a sucker for a good barleywine.
Posted: May 5th, 2011 - 10:48am -
malphrus says:
@mimsattack thanks. was worried about the strength of the pine so i doubled em up.
don't like it as much as the walnut & cherry version i make.
Posted: May 5th, 2011 - 10:49am -
thousand says:
@malphrus no doubt. Walnut is beautiful wood.

Your job is better than i would have done, which would have resulted in 3 fewer fingers and 0 more wine racks!

Well done! I second the mal-pine sentiment. I have been restricting myself to rock maple, walnut and cherry for a while now. I threw in a little bloodwood on the last project, but I didn't have to do much with it (thankfully).

very nice work. so your making a bigger one? can't wait to see that. any chance these things are for sale?
Posted: May 5th, 2011 - 3:30pm -
malphrus says:
@matthale yeah, i make one that holds 35 bottles (7 per hexagon) or 28 bottles + one hexagon for glasses/storage. don't have any of those right now and it'll be a week or ten days before i start making the big ones again.

and yes, everything is for sale, ha ha. always.
