My last experience with a sleeping bag was on a camping trip in college. 3 of us were sleeping in our bags on a dock by a lake in September. It was Chilly, but not too chilly in the tent. In the middle of the night, it started raining. My friend asked me "hey, what should we do?" I just told him that I was zipping up my bag all the way and sleeping inside. He said, okay, and we all 3 did that. Little did I know, his sleeping bag was not water proof. As temperatures dipped in the low 50's that night, the warmth of the bag got me though. When I awoke, I found my friend by the campfire, still shiverring after an hour by the fire. Needless to say, he got pretty sick.
